Tony Robbins Programmed Me For Success

by Chris Brisson on Jan 20,2009

I just got back from Tony Robbins Business Mastermind event in Palm Spring, Cali and good lord… It was one heck of a great event. It was 2 days long and if you’ve been to any of Tony’s events you know you don’t go to sleep before 2-3am. Unlike many of his events there was an elite group of 100 entrepreneurs, lawyers, and highly successful people. Many of which own $5, $10, $50, $100 million dollar companies.

There’s not many opportunities that you get to have a photo with Tony. I consider myself lucky.

I got a chance to speak with Tony and here’s how the conversation went…

Tony: “So what’s your primary question, Chris?”
Me: “My primary question is…..”
Tony: “So whats your new primary question?”
Me: “Umm, my new primary question is….”

… my mind went blank. I couldn’t think of my new primary question. (The primary question is something we learned at the Date with Destiny event in Orlando back in December)

Me: “Hmmm,…..”
Me: “Tony, my mind is going blank…”

At this point, Tony leaned over, put his hand behind my neck and on my chest and whispered in my ear…

“…it doesn’t have to be perfect, just something to get you moving with.”

He said much more, but the hypnosis trace I was in, I don’t recall everything.

Here’s some photos of tony and I, as you can see… “he was programming me.”

Actually, does anyone know exactly what he was doing and why he did that in this particular way?

I imagine he was anchoring something in my mind. To tell you the truth, it worked.

When you get a chance to go to any of Tony’s events… GO! Don’t wait, don’t hesitate, just go. You will not regret it.

How To Make $453,907.77 In 10 Minutes!

by Chris Brisson on Jun 24,2008

Take a look at my clickbank screenshot:

Now here’s how to do it. I got this tip from Miles Baker’s blog. It’s simple. first login to your clickbank account and view your account page. Copy and paste this code in the browser address bar and click enter.

javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0

Now you can edit the page with the outrageous numbers.

Note: This is not real. If it was I wouldn’t be writing this blog post. I’d be surfing in Costa Rica.

Disclaimer: DO NOT use this to deceive, lie, or cheat anyone by displaying you fake numbers. You can and will get in alot of trouble. To get an education on website law and how not to get in trouble with the law, check out Mike Young’s book here.

The Worst Bar Name In The World: Average Joe's

by Chris Brisson on Jun 08,2008

Today, I was driving my car with the windows, down listening to some 9.73 The Coast (it’s pure 80’s ALL the time), and a commercial popped up for a bar.

Now let me preface what I’m about to say with something I heard from Michael Masterson of EarlyToRise.com, when he was in the bar business. In an interview I heard him talk about the secrets to a successful bar.

It wasn’t to have the most beautiful women as the bartenders or waiters, but to have good looking male’s working there as well. It makes sense, the girls want to talk to the good looking bartender in hopes that they can take him home. He strings them along for weeks and weeks and brings in business.

Now, these girls coming back to the bar will attract other males. The males then buy the girls the drinks. This starts the circle of endless buying of drinks and cashflow for the bar. (we’ve all been there before).

So this brings me back to my story about this commercial…

So I’m listening to the radio and the ad is for a local bar called, Average Joe’s. WTF!? Average Joe’s? What dude in their right mind, or girl looking for a guy want to find an “average” person?

Maybe I’m missing something, but I wouldn’t want to goto Average Joe’s – EVER. The people in there then label themselves as, you guessed it – AVERAGE.

Girls, go here to find the average guy. Guys, go here to … uh, well, umm… find an average buddy because no girl would ever go here.

Can you think of a better name?

I thought of the All American DoucheBar.

Peace.

eBay's Offline to Online Personalization Strategy

by Chris Brisson on May 16,2008

Just got in a piece of mail from eBay yesterday and I was extremely blown away with their personalization strategy for bringing their customers from a direct mail to their website. Check out this video.

But first we used a personalization strategy in a recent launch and it worked like crazy! Actually we sold around 30 courses before we even launched because of this one strategy. I’ll give you the script in a few days, you’ll like it…

Slaving Away Til' 3am Writing Copy…

by Chris Brisson on May 16,2008

I’ve never been a great writer. I had an extremely rough time with English classes in college. Math, it wasn’t a problem. A’s and B’s all around. But writing to me is torture…

You see, I can write sales copy. It may take me a couple of days or weeks and a major loss of hair, but it gets done. Not a great done, but done. One thing I discovered is, there’s people out there that can write killer sales copy so give the job to them.

The other night for 2 days straight I was literally glued to my computer to 3am each night slaving away trying to write copy for a client I’m helping launch a product. It wasn’t until I finally said, “ENOUGH!” that I turned to a good friend of mine to whip it out…

Rachel Rofe. She doesn’t talk much in crowds, but when she does she’s got A LOT to say. If you talk about marketing or copy she’s takes the stage… she’s good. She’s who many well known marketers and well known entrepreneurs turn to for copy. A couple of months ago she was in Womens World, it’s a monthly or weekly magazine that’s in just about every grocery store in the country. Not for her copywriting, but for one of her membership sites.

Anyhow, so to write a simple sales letter would take me maybe 2 weeks, Rachel try 2 hours. She blew me away with how fast she whipped it out.

So I’m writing this plug my friend, Rachel. She’s done a lot for me and she the one person I turn to for copy advise.

So if you need a GREAT and FAST copywriter, buzz Rachel. They call her the master blaster. She’ll hook you up. :)

Some cool stuff coming soon when things start slowing down.

California IS All It's Cracked Up To Be

by Chris Brisson on Apr 20,2008

On Thursday Justin and I flew into LAX airport to goto Frank Kern’s Mass Control event here in San Diego. Although the event is in San Diego, I figured I’d get a plane ticket in L.A. so then we can make the “cool” drive over to Diego.

What a great idea!

You see, I live in Florida. Yes, flat, landscape deprived, Florida. When I use to drive to Florida State in Tallahassee (i can finally spell it right), it would take me 6 hours to drive there. I’d fill up in Delray and stop in Gainsville to some gas.

On the way up is …well … pretty boring. There’s not much to see. Occasionally you’ll see, a Turnpike station pop up with a Popeyes Chicken or the illustrious Cinnabon. Other than that you’re looking at a lot of tree and flat ground. The only “hilly” place when making the drive is in “Howie-In-The-Hills.” There’s one bump in the road. It’s about a 15 foot bump and probably the highest elevation in Florida.

Ok enough about Florida because California…

Is All It’s Cracked Up To Be!

I’m sitting here in Carlsbad (about 20 minutes north of San Diego) looking at some million dollar mansions in the hills. Here’s my view…

It’s beautiful!

When Justin and I were making the drive from L.A. to here, I can honestly say that the views and landscape were like crack for my eyes. The mountains, the homes, the ocean views (OMG!), the street performers, the fish tacos, the breaks… everything is amazing.

I’ve lived in Florida my entire life and thinking to myself… “I can move here. I have an internet business.”

I’m going to be posting some more photos, videos, and other cool stuff along the way, but for now I gotta jump in the shower and get ready for Kern’s Mass control my mind event ALL day today.

Gosh what a horrible place to be right now…

Selling My Business…

by Chris Brisson on Apr 05,2008

So I have some websites that I’m going to be selling since I’m focusing on other my other businesses. Now, I’ve sold a business before and some sites before, but I’d like to hear your feedback on selling a website.

I’m listenening to Ed Dale’s Dominiche and I must say it’s pretty killer.

Have you sold any sites or businesses? What would you do different?

- Chris

P.S. Oh yea, I just added Viddler’s Video comment plugin so when you leave me a comment, leave me a video comment.

So here’s the new design I made today. Took me about 4 hours just messing around. I know, I know… I should have outsourced it. I really wanted control of how the blog looked and wanted it now! (like the blueberry girl from Willy Wonka)

Awesome Product Launch – $12,000 in "A Couple of Minutes!"

by Chris Brisson on Mar 12,2008

At Rich’s Strategic Profits seminar I met some amazing people with some great product launch stories. One of those amazing product launch stories was from Ryan Wade. Ryan ending up doing a killer product launch for his website MentorMeetings.com – he pulled in over $12,000 in, and I quote Ryan, “a couple of minutes.”

Ryan is a young, smart, and very intelligent marketer. He’s a guy that’s going places.

Take a listen to Ryan product launch story…
